Q: Does a change of ownership or location for a pharmacy require Board notification?

YES, (Board Rule 156)

Q: How long must pharmacies maintain records of controlled substances?

Three years for annual controlled substance inventories, two years for all other records. Medicaid may have other requirements.

Q: How many hours of continuing education are required annually?

1. A minimum of eight hours (0.8 C.E.U.) of ACPE or CME approved programs.
2. One hour (0.1 C.E.U.) of Board of Pharmacy approved jurisprudence (Pharmacy Law) program.
3. A maximum of six (0.6 C.E.U.) may be non-ACPE approved programs.
4. Three hours (0.3) of the fifteen (1.5 C.E.U.) must be obtained by attendance at live programs (Board Rule 134)
